On May 4, 2012, Massachusetts CORI system will undergo a major change, based on the 2010 CORI Reform Law. All employers wishing to run criminal background checks in Massachusetts will have new responsibilities and obligations before running criminal checks. Failure to abide by the new CORI Reform Law can expose employers to significant fines.
