The Department of Homeland Security has designated the Nuclear Sector as Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource (CIKR). Since 1985, CSI has had a long standing commitment to providing superior screening services to the nuclear energy industry in accordance with the strict guidelines of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
In 2004, CSI opened a dedicated Nuclear Operations Center in Chapin, South Carolina to more efficiently process background investigations for this highly regulated industry. Our nuclear screening professionals are experts in investigations and interviewing. Using enhanced information systems, CSI provides accurate background screening reports in the rapid turnaround time required by nuclear licensees and contractors.
CSI specializes in providing Unescorted Access Authorization (UAA) background investigation services for nuclear licensees and contract labor companies who are seeking a primary or supplemental vendor, in overload or outage events. CSI maintains active participation in the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and stays educated on changing requirements and audit standards in the industry. We are dedicated to ensuring the protection and continuity of this United States critical infrastructure, incorporating technology solutions to reduce risk.
CSI offers four primary types of UAA Background Investigations for nuclear licensees and contractors. All background investigations are completed in accordance with the NRC Fitness for Duty Program (10 CFR Part 26) and the NEI Access Authorization Guidelines (NEI 03-01 as revised).
CSI provides UAA background investigation services for nuclear licensees and contractors during outage and non-outage periods. We proudly serve a diverse range of clients in industries regulated by:
