Does CSI participate in the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI)?
The members of NEI are the nuclear licensees. However, a CSI executive currently serves as an advisor on the NEI task force. Previously, an employee of CSI was a member of the NEI Fitness for Duty and Access Authorization Task Force instrumental in the development and implementation of NEI 03-01.
Does CSI meet the nuclear industry audit standards?
Each year CSI is physically audited by an NEI audit team and licensee contractors/vendors. CSI is in good standing with audit requirements. In addition to achieving successful external audits, CSI has an internal audit process which is conducted semi-annually to check for accuracy and ensure compliance.
How long has CSI been providing nuclear background screening?
CSI has been conducting nuclear background screening for over 20 years. In 2004, CSI opened a dedicated nuclear operations facility in Chapin, SC.
What turnaround times does CSI achieve on background investigations?
Turnaround time is measured from receipt of the request form with all corresponding documentation. All work processes are designed to provide a completed background investigation report within three business days.
How does CSI receive background investigations?
Requests for UAA background investigations can be delivered to CSI electronically, by facsimile or through overnight mail. CSI also offers a customized XML software interface with clients. This interface takes place between our proprietary software and clients’ applicant tracking software. Our flexibility in receiving and delivering orders allows CSI to adapt to the client.
How do clients receive background investigation results?
Completed background investigation reports are provided to our clients via e-mail, fax or XML interface. CSI has recently enhanced our report functionality and appearance. Our formal reporting format is designed to be concise yet informative and is highlighted by an “at-a-glance” Executive Summary which categorizes each of the components investigated. Particulars are then presented in clearly delineated sections, comparing applicant-supplied information to source-reported information.
Is CSI a recognized vendor in the UAA screening process?
CSI currently provides background screening services to more than 35% of the industry, including both nuclear licensees and certified nuclear contractors.
