Studies indicate that drug users are 2.5 times more likely to have absences of 8 days or more, are 3.6 times more likely to injure themselves or another person in a workplace accident and are 5 times more likely to file a workers’ compensation claim. Many industries are federally mandated to perform drug and alcohol testing on applicants and periodic re-testing of employees. An increasing number of companies are voluntarily subscribing to a drug-free workplace operation.
CSI’s Third Party Drug & Alcohol Screening Administrator (TPA) is certified by the Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) as both an Accredited Collection Site and a Nationally Accredited for Administration of Drug and Alcohol Training Programs (NAADATP) provider. All testing adheres to strict industry-established standards to ensure operating procedures, safeguards, knowledge and professional practices are in compliance with federal regulations. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service and assure our clients’ operation in accordance with federal drug and alcohol testing guidelines.
The collection site network exceeds 10,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada, utilizing only sites that employ specimen collectors who are trained under the Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulation 49 CFR Part 40. All testing laboratories utilized are certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and Health & Human Services (HHS) and meet stringent criteria with regard to national licensure, proficiency, experience, response time, and operating procedures for confidentiality, reporting, record-keeping and specimen handling. All drug test results are reviewed for accuracy by Medical Review Officers.
